Updates...
Our class visited the Herbert Hoover Museum on Friday, September 9th as part of our Great Depression Social Studies Curriculum. We had a WONDERFUL time and learned a ton!
Here's what our class had to say about the trip...
Alanie says, "What I learned at the museum is I didn't know it [life at the turn of the century] wasn't that easy. I did not know they did not have that many beds [in response to her noticing that Herbert's family only had one bed for the entire family]. I did not know they had different kinds of beds than we do today [in response to her noticing the beds did not have mattresses]."
Jacob says, "I learned where Herbert Hoover lived and I had fun!"

Unfortunately I only took a few shots of the students on the tour (we were all so engrossed on what our excellent docent was telling us about Herbert Hoover!). Click on each photo to see a full size version + caption. Enjoy!
